Planning to attend GSA Connects 2026 and reside outside of the United States? Here’s what you need to know about visas, travel grants, and potential registration discounts.

If you are traveling to the United States and are not a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident, you may need a visa to attend GSA Connects 2026.
Fill out and print out your personalized GSA Connects 2026 Letter of Invitation. Please note that invitation letters are issued only after abstract acceptance and registration.

GSA offers a 75 percent discount on annual meeting registration fees for individuals who are both residents of and citizens of low- and lower-middle-income countries as classified by the World Bank.
GSA offers a 50 percent discount on annual meeting registration fees for individuals who are both residents of and citizens of upper-middle-income countries as classified by the World Bank.

The discounts do not apply to the K-12 professional, Guest, or Companion, or Field Trip/Short Course Only registration classes. To receive a discount code, eligible participants must complete this form before registering.

Apply for your visa as early as possible—we strongly recommend starting the process at least three to four months before the meeting. Taking advantage of the early action abstract submission deadline can also help support your visa timeline.
Some consulates may have scheduling backlogs for visa interviews. Therefore, applicants should first consult the U.S. Department of State’s website on visa appointment and processing wait times.
