GSA offers in-person programs for mentors to share their knowledge and experience with the rising community of geoscientists. We invite graduate students, early career professionals, professionals, and retirees to mentor.
All mentors are asked to read and abide by GSA's Events Code of Conduct.

Mentors will connect with students and early career professionals for 30-minute, one-on-one sessions offering personalized résumé/CV feedback. You'll provide your availability in advance, and participants will sign up with mentors whose expertise aligns with their interests. All mentoring will be held in the GeoCareers Corner.
Mentors will connect with students and early career professionals for 30-minute, one-on-one sessions focused on career advice, professional development, and navigating pathways in the geosciences. You'll provide your availability in advance, and participants will sign up with mentors whose expertise aligns with their interests. All sessions will be held in the GeoCareers Corner.
As a GeoCareers Day mentor, you will move from table to table during the GeoCareers Day event to talk informally with students attending the event. GeoCareers Day focuses on careers in industry and government sectors. As a table mentor, you will help answer student questions in a small group format.
The Women in Geology Reception begins with speakers for the first 30 minutes, followed by an informal gathering of students, early career professionals, and mentors. Light refreshments will be served. As a mentor, you will mingle with mentees for approximately one hour to answer questions about career paths and offer advice and observations about job opportunities within your professional field.
