*The Senior Professional registration fee is for GSA members who are both 65 years of age and have been active GSA members for 25+ years.
**The Guest/Spouse registration fee applies to non-geologists accompanying a professional or student meeting registrant. This fee does not include access to technical sessions. Any guest wishing to see a specific presentation should go to the on-site registration desk to request a special pass.
GSA offers a 75% discount on annual meeting registration fees for individuals from low- and lower-middle-income countries, and a 50% discount for those from upper-middle-income countries. The discounts do not apply to the K-12 Teacher or Guest/Spouse registration categories. Find more details on the International Attendee Information page.
GSA also provides a 15% discount on registration fees for members of GSA Associated Societies. Please refer to the list of GSA Associated Societies and contact your Society to obtain your discount code. The code can be applied during registration.
New Cancelation Policy
A $50 processing fee will be charged for all registration cancellations received in writing by 11:59 p.m. MT on 10 September 2026.
No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline for any registration type or ticketed events.
The Geological Society of America recognizes that unforeseen circumstances may prevent attendance. Refund requests submitted after 10 September may be considered on a case-by-case basis; however, approval is not guaranteed.
GSA will not accept any refund requests submitted more than 45 days after the conclusion of the meeting.
Travel and Airfare
Participants, particularly those traveling internationally, are strongly encouraged to plan accordingly and secure appropriate travel insurance.
Airfare and all travel-related expenses are the sole responsibility of the participant.
GSA is not responsible for airline tickets, visa fees, or any other travel costs.
No refunds or reimbursements will be provided for flights or other travel expenses under any circumstances, including cancellation, schedule changes, or inability to attend.
Participants are advised to book refundable or transferable travel and/or purchase travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes.
